Watermark a PDF in 3 steps

  1. Choose your PDF or drag it here.
  2. Type the watermark text, then pick the opacity (Light, Medium or Strong) and where it goes.
  3. Press "Add Watermark" and download the watermarked PDF.

Before you start

  • Label it before sending

A DRAFT or COPY across every page tells the reader what the document is and where it came from.

  • The page stays readable

Light and Medium leave the content easy to read. Strong is for when the mark shouldn’t be missed.

  • The document isn’t uploaded

The watermark is drawn in your browser, so the file you want to protect doesn’t go to a server first.

  • Free, on any device

Use it as often as you like, with no page limit. You don’t need an account or an app. It works on a phone as well as a computer.

Questions about PDF watermarks

Can someone remove the watermark?

It’s not easy, but it can be done. The watermark is drawn onto each page as an image layer, so a normal PDF reader can’t hide it. Someone with PDF editing software and enough patience could still remove it. It’s a good deterrent, not copy protection.

Which positions can I choose?

Diagonal across the page (the default), in the center, or small in the bottom-right corner. Every page of the file gets the same watermark.

Does it support Turkish and accented characters?

Yes. Turkish letters like ç, ğ, ı, İ, ö, ş and ü, and common accented letters like é or ñ, show up just as you type them.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Not yet, this tool only adds text. You can type your company or brand name as the watermark instead.

Can I add or edit other text in my PDF?

No. The tool only adds a watermark. It doesn’t change the text that’s already there, and you can’t place free text wherever you like on the page.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Your browser adds the watermark on your own device, and the PDF doesn’t reach our servers. Password-protected PDFs aren’t supported yet.
