ConvertKoala is a small, independent team making file tools for people who want to get a task done and move on. You merge a PDF or turn a few photos into a document, and then you get on with your day.
Why we built it
Most online converters want you to upload your files to a server you know nothing about. After a few conversions, many of them ask you to pay. That seemed the wrong way round to us. A tax return, a contract or your kid’s school photos shouldn’t have to be sent somewhere just to be merged.
So every ConvertKoala tool does its work inside your browser, on your own device. Since nothing is uploaded, there’s nothing for us to store, lose or look at. It also means a file costs us nothing to process, so we have no reason to limit how many you convert.
What you can count on
- Your files stay on your device.
- You can use the tools as often as you like. There’s no daily quota or paid plan.
- You don’t need an account or an email address.
- Each page does one job, and it should be clear how to use it.
How the site pays for itself
The site is free and will stay free. To cover hosting and development, we may later show a small advertisement, clearly marked, on result pages. Ads won’t be placed above the tool, and they have no access to your files.
If you have an idea, found a bug or need a tool we don’t have yet, write to us at hello@convertkoala.com. We read every message.
