TIFF to PDF in 3 steps
- Add your scanned .tif or .tiff files. Each file becomes one page.
- Put them in reading order, then press "Convert to PDF".
- Download a single PDF with all the pages in that order.
What this tool does
-
One attachment instead of ten
Banks, insurers and HR departments usually ask for a single PDF. Your separate page scans end up in one file.
-
You decide the page order
Scanners don’t always name pages in the right order. Move files up or down before converting, and the PDF follows the list.
-
Easy for others to open
Many phones and browsers can’t show a TIFF, but nearly all of them open a PDF. The person you send it to can read it right away.
-
Your documents stay on your device
Contracts, tax forms and ID copies are combined in your browser. The scans aren’t uploaded to a server.
Common questions
How are the pages arranged?
Each TIFF file becomes one page of the PDF, following the order of the list. You can fix the order with the up and down buttons before you convert.
My scanner saved a multi-page TIFF. Will all pages come through?
No, only the first page of a multi-page TIFF is used. If your scanner can save each page as a separate TIFF, use that setting and add all the files here. Then every page ends up in the PDF.
Will the PDF be blurry?
Pages keep the resolution they were scanned at, so the text is as readable as in the TIFF. A 300 dpi scan gives you a PDF that’s sharp enough to print.
Why is my PDF large?
High-resolution colour scans carry a lot of detail. If you have a tight upload limit, convert the TIFFs with TIFF to JPG first, make them smaller with Compress Image, and then combine them with JPG to PDF.
Is the text in the PDF searchable?
No. Just like in the TIFF, each page is a picture of your paper. Selectable text needs OCR, and this tool doesn’t do OCR.
Can I add a JPG or PNG page as well?
Yes. Regular image files can go in the same list, so you can put a photo of a receipt between your scanned pages.
