Split a PDF in 3 steps

  1. Choose your PDF, or drag it into the box.
  2. Pick a mode: every page as its own PDF, or only the pages you type in (for example 1-3, 7).
  3. Press "Split PDF" and download what you get.

Good to know

  • The file stays on your computer

Pages are pulled apart inside your browser, so a contract or a bank statement you split here isn’t sent to anyone.

  • Two ways to split

You can cut the whole file into single pages, or pick out a few pages and save them as one new PDF.

  • Free, as often as you need

Split as many PDFs as you like. There’s no page limit or daily quota, and you don’t need an account.

  • Works on your phone too

Any up-to-date browser on iPhone, Android, Windows or Mac will do. You don’t have to install an app.

Questions people ask

How do I extract certain pages from a PDF?

Choose "Extract pages" and type the pages you want with commas and dashes. For example, 1-3, 7 gives you pages 1, 2, 3 and 7. They’re saved together as one new PDF, in the same order as in the original.

Can I split every page into a separate PDF?

Yes. Choose "Every page" and each page becomes its own PDF file. Since that can mean a lot of files, they come together in a single ZIP download.

Does splitting reduce the quality?

No. Each page is copied as it is, so text stays sharp and images look the same. Nothing gets re-compressed or converted.

Can I split a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Open this page in your phone’s browser, tap "Choose files", pick the PDF and choose a mode. The result is saved to your phone, and it works the same way on iPhone and Android.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. Open the file with its password, save a copy without protection, and add that copy here. If you add an encrypted file, you’ll see a clear message telling you so.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Your browser does the splitting on your own device, so the PDF doesn’t reach our servers. Once you close the page, nothing is left behind.
